HomeBid is not an estate agency, solicitor, or financial advisor. We provide technology tools to facilitate property transactions but do not provide legal, financial, or real estate advice.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about yourself and your property transactions
• Use the platform only for legitimate property transaction purposes
• Not misrepresent your identity, buyer status, or financial position
• Not use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm others
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Respect the intellectual property rights of HomeBid and third parties

6. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without authorization
• Use automated systems to access the platform without permission
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls

7. Fees and Payment

7.1 Service Fees

Certain services may be subject to fees as displayed on our pricing page. All fees are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

7.2 Payment Terms

Fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. Failed payments may result in service suspension.

8. Intellectual Property

The platform, including its design, features, content, and technology, is owned by HomeBid and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of our platform.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform. By submitting content, you grant HomeBid a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display such content for the purpose of providing our services.

10. Disclaimers

HomeBid does not provide legal, financial, tax, or real estate advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making decisions related to property transactions.

10.2 Platform Availability

We strive to maintain platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, security reasons, or circumstances beyond our control.

10.3 Data Accuracy

While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that information provided through the platform (including chain status, verification scores, or transaction data) is complete or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• HomeBid shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for failed or delayed property transactions, regardless of cause

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeBid, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon closure, your access to the platform will be terminated, but we may retain certain data as required by law.

13.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and HomeBid regarding the platform.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
